After an extensive search, Butte College selected Chioma Ndubuisi to serve as its new chief technology officer. Ndubuisi brings a variety of experience managing technology in higher education and corporate settings.
She served most recently as director of program management at UC Merced, a position she held since 2018. She previously served as director of the technology program management office at Peralta Community College District. In these roles, she managed a large portfolio of technology projects and demonstrated an impressive track record, successfully leading diverse teams and helping shepherd institutional digital transformations.
While Ndubuisi’s higher education career background highlights a wealth of academic and career accolades, she has said she is proudest of her ability to work cross-functionally with many stakeholders holding varying views and build lasting relationships focused on respectful inclusion. Ndubuisi has said she accomplishes this by “bringing teams together to focus on a shared goal and help guide them to assess needs, design solutions, and make transparent, informed decisions where all participants, inputs, and ideas are considered.”
Ndubuisi holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from California State University, Los Angeles. Chioma is a certified Project Management, Change Management, and Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt Practitioner. Her start date at Butte College was September 13, 2021.
